Essential Information

Care Sodium Bicarbonate BP. For relief of the symptoms of indigestion, heartburn and dyspepsia and as an external lotion for relief of the symptoms of insect bites and sunburn. Contains Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate. Always read the label.

Directions for use

For heartburn & indigestion – take by mouth.

Take 1 level 5ml spoonful dissolved in warm water.

Take up to 4 times a day.

How to treat indigestion:

There’s usually no need to see a GP about indigestion. There are some things you can do at home:

  • Cut down on tea, coffee, cola or alcohol
  • Prop your head and shoulders up in bed – this can stop stomach acid coming up while you sleep
  • Lose weight if you’re overweight

Don’t:

  1. Eat 3 to 4 hours before going to bed
  2. Have rich, spicy or fatty foods
  3. Take ibuprofen or aspirin – this can make indigestion worse
  4. Smoke
